BioGasol is a Danish process technology company specialising in the development of best-in-class technologies and supporting services to first and second generation biofuels as well as biochemicals developers and manufacturers. The Company was founded in 2006 as a spin-out of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a result of successful R&D since the mid-nineties within the field of biochemical conversion of agricultural residues to bioethanol. 2010 the Company was wholly acquired by Fjord Capital Partners (UK) and the Carbofrac® systems were released for sale in 2011. Its innovative C5 and C6 sugar co-fermentation technology Pentocrobe was spun out at the end of 2012 into sister company Estibio, which specialises in fermentation technology.
