Energy Fuels Inc.
Energy Fuels is the leading, U.S. producer of uranium – the fuel for clean, emission-free nuclear energy. Energy Fuels’ uranium production portfolio is truly unique in the world today. Nuclear energy is expected to see strong growth in the coming years as nations work to provide plentiful and affordable energy, while also combating global climate change and air pollution. Energy Fuels utilizes both conventional and in-situ recovery (“ISR”) technology to produce uranium from three strategic facilities – the White Mesa Mill in Utah (conventional), the Nichols Ranch Plant in Wyoming (ISR), and the Alta Mesa Plant in Texas (ISR). The uranium we responsibly produce today is helping address some of the most daunting health and environmental issues facing the world today – air pollution and climate change. We are proud to play a growing part in this global effort.

About Us
We are the only primary producer of vanadium in the U.S. We have considerable vanadium mining and production capabilities, and large quantities of in-ground vanadium resources. Further, our White Mesa Mill is the only conventional vanadium mill in the U.S.
Energy Fuels is also an emerging player in the commercial rare earth business. We will process monazite at our White Mesa Mill starting in the first quarter of 2021, recover the contained uranium, and produce a marketable mixed rare earth element carbonate. This work represents a crucial step toward reestablishing a fully integrated U.S. rare earth element supply chain.
Energy Fuels is also the largest conventional producer of vanadium in the US. We have significant high-grade vanadium resources in several of our mines, along with a separate, high-purity vanadium production circuit at the White Mesa Mill. Vanadium is mainly used in the steel, aerospace, and chemical industries. And, vanadium is seeing considerable interest in next generation batteries that store energy generated from renewable sources.

The “Energy Fuels” name is well-respected in the US uranium sector. Energy Fuels Nuclear was once the leading producer of uranium in the US, discovering and developing some of the projects we operate today. In fact, Energy Fuels Nuclear constructed the White Mesa Mill in 1980. While Energy Fuels Inc. and Energy Fuels Nuclear are unrelated entities, much of our senior management team began their careers and learned about the US uranium industry from the earlier successes of Energy Fuels Nuclear.
Environment & Social Responsibility:
Energy Fuels is committed to the highest standards of corporate responsibility and environmental protection. We operate our facilities in a manner that puts the safety of our workers, contractors, communities, environment, and principals of sustainable development above all else. Whenever issues of safety conflict with other corporate objectives, safety shall be the first consideration.
Energy Fuels works hard to develop relationships with the local communities in which we operate to address concerns and build support among our stakeholders. While local communities will realize the benefits of our operations through jobs, tax revenues, and economic development, they will also bear some of the burdens associated with such development. Through our culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and strict adherence to all federal, state and local laws and regulations, we are constantly working on being good corporate citizens and valuable members of the communities in which we operate.
Energy Fuels requires strict adherence to our Code of Ethics, and Environment, Health & Safety Policy.
Environment & Responsibility
Energy Fuels is proud of our record of environmental stewardship. We work hard every day to ensure our operations minimize potential impacts to the environment, including water, air, wildlife, soil, and cultural resources. We operate in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and where practicable, we strive to exceed those standards.
Past uranium mining in the U.S. created many health and environmental issues. However, it is important to understand that most health and environmental impacts from the uranium industry resulted from operations that occurred decades ago in the years during and after WWII and at the height of the Cold War. Energy Fuels – and the regulators that oversee our operations – are working to ensure that those mistakes are not repeated.
