Continuity and dynamics

The seventies
The company founded in 1969 has its roots in traditional steel construction. The company, originally known as 'GOLDBECK Stahlbau KG' gained experience with typical individual orders invoiced according to steel tonnage.

The eighties

• The second decade of the company's history is marked by the concentration on three essential characteristics.
• In order to achieve optimum client benefits, GOLDBECK expanded their competence from specialist trade steel construction to turnkey construction.
• In order to enable rational, industrial production of steel elements, the company developed the pre-production and systemisation of construction elements and working processes to create mature construction systems.
• In order to look after their clients on site and to take account of the regional aspects of construction, GOLDBECK forms a comprehensive network of subsidiaries.
• To do justice to this approach, the company now operates as 'GOLDBECKBAU – Gebäude aus Stahl und Aluminium'.

The nineties
The third decade, the nineties, is a decade of growth with annual rates of increase reaching double figures. With new jobs initially carried by construction work in the new German states, GOLDBECK also expanded the product range primarily in the service sector. The competences now stretch from property development and financing expertise to turnkey construction and down to facility management services. The client benefits that can be achieved thanks to the meshing of the various business sectors is expressed by the current company name 'GOLDBECK' with the slogan 'Design – Build – Service'.

As of 2000
Growth of the group no longer focuses on Germany - GOLDBECK now offers turnkey construction services in Central Europe, Great Britain, Austria and Switzerland. The product range is expanded to include the Solar, Bauen im Bestand (renovation work) and Public Private Partnership sectors. Since the middle of the decade, GOLDBECK engineers have been working in interdisciplinary teams developing energy efficient concepts. The company is now synonymous with all construction and utility services for commercial and communal properties. The points have been set for the future.
