LUZCHEM RESEARCH was incorporated in Canada in 1997. The company was founded by Dr. J.C. Scaiano and his wife Elda E. Scaiano, and entered the manufacturing field with the construction of photoreactors for the Pulp and Paper industry. The company has continued to refine and develop the photoreactor line and in 1999 reached an agreement with the University of Ottawa for the design, development and manufacturing of a patented miniaturized Laser Flash Photolysis System (mLFP). In 2002, Luzchem introduced products for thin film metrology, in 2003 xenon illumination products, in 2004 spectroradiometers, in 2005 solar simulators and in 2008 Luzchem released the first in its line of computer controlled photoreactors. In 2014, Luzchem’s first LED photoreactors and EXPO panels became available. Luzchem`s research and development has created the highest quality specialized photochemical lab equipment in the world.
