About Us
Fuel cells are of great interest to academia, industry and governments as a green and efficient device for converting chemical energy into electrical energy. At present, PEMFC technology is developing rapidly and has reached the technical maturity for commercial application, however, the preparation, storage, and transportation of high-purity hydrogen seriously hinders its large-scale commercialization, and it is urgent to solve the fuel source problem from the source.
HT-PMFC are a class of fuel cell technology with operating temperatures usually between 110°C and 200°C. They integrate the advantages of conventional (low-temperature) membrane fuel cells (operating temperature ≤ 80°C) with flexible structural design and high specific power, and also have the advantages of strong anti-poisoning of impurities in fuel/air, high overall efficiency of system simplification, low operating cost and wide temperature range application scenarios, and can directly use industrial by-product hydrogen or reformed gas such as methanol as fuel to provide electricity and thermal energy to the outside world. Therefore, as a forward-looking hydrogen energy technology, high-temperature membrane fuel cell technology is expected to solve the challenges of high cost of high-purity hydrogen preparation, difficult storage and transportation, refilling, and complicated safety management, etc. It is expected to produce and use on-site hydrogen source, realize high-efficiency cogeneration, and have a very wide application prospect in civil and military fields such as vehicle (ship) power, emergency backup power, mobile and fixed power stations, and distributed combined heat and power (CHP) supply.
