Solartys
SOLARTYS was founded in 2009 as a Spanish solar energy cluster. Since our beginnings, we have been guided by accompanying the development of the solar photovoltaic and solar thermal energy sector and our partners. We work together with the entire solar energy value chain: manufacturers, distributors of materials and components, engineering companies, installers, developers and research centers. Together we join forces to make the energy transition a reality. SOLARTYS is an association that is part of the Secartys cluster ecosystem: a transversal and pioneering non-profit business grouping that has been working since 1968 to promote the competitiveness of its 4 clusters and more than 380 associates. When you join SOLARTYS, you don’t just become a member of a cluster, you become part of a complete and integrated ecosystem.

About Us
Together we join forces to make the energy transition a reality.
In addition to SOLARTYS, solar energy cluster, the ecosystem is made up of: CICAT, lighting cluster, Smartech Cluster, cluster of smart technologies for cities, buildings and industry, and AEPIBAL, association of batteries and energy storage.
In addition, Secartys has an International department to support our members in their internationalization. This allows our members to collaborate with complementary sectors and obtain a wider range of services and benefits.
What we do
In SOLARTYS, solar energy cluster, we are convinced that the working groups are the perfect meeting point for networking among SOLARTYS community partners, as well as to strengthen cooperation and promote innovative projects.
That is why, in our Working Groups, we analyze and work collaboratively on strategic challenges of the solar energy sector: Innovation, Sustainability and Circular Economy, and Self-consumption and Energy Communities.

Innovation Working Group
The objective of this working group is to promote the generation of collaborative R&D&I projects, both nationally and internationally, as well as to foster synergies and the creation of consortiums, in order to improve the competitiveness and value of the participants.
The Sustainable Smart Cities Working Group's key objectives are to generate and coordinate actions to highlight its members and their solutions. In addition, it seeks to facilitate participation in tenders and innovative public procurement processes. Its focus is on creating synergies between partners and collaborative R&D&I projects in the sector, thus promoting innovation and joint development of solutions to build more sustainable and smart cities in which entities from all our ecosystem participate.
The objective of this working group is to identify actions (events, projects, white papers, etc.) that we can carry out to help decarbonize our economy, with the participation of organizations from our ecosystem.
ossumption and energy communities are the two vectors for the strengthening and growth of the solar energy sector, as well as the achievement of a greater resilience of electricity production: close and communitized. To this end, the objective of this working group is to analyze the current situation, detect the opportunities presented by this new paradigm, and respond to market issues and continue to promote its dissemination.
The main objective of the Training Working Group is to contribute to the strengthening of the sector, helping it to have trained professionals to address the prospects for growth in solar photovoltaic. This group focuses on coordinating initiatives that promote specialized training, highlighting the skills needed to meet the challenges and opportunities emerging in the field of solar energy and energy transition. It also seeks to establish strategic collaborations among its members to promote innovative training programs to ensure that the industry has the talent necessary for its continued development.
The Smart Buildings Working Group aims to raise awareness of the BIM Plan, its implications and opportunities. In the workshops we conducted, we explored the opportunities presented by the BIM Plan in public procurement, analyzing its key aspects according to the UNE-EN ISO 19650 standards. Aligned with the legal provision, we emphasized that the adoption of BIM is not only mandatory, but also offers opportunities to improve the efficiency of public spending and digitally transform the sector, promoting innovation in Smart Buildings.
Sustainability and circular economy are key to the future of the solar energy sector. Through this working group, we explore opportunities in this area, study the regulations being developed and generate collaborative projects and research.
Innovation and R & D & I Projects
At SOLARTYS, solar energy cluster, we are committed to innovation and collaboration.
Therefore, we are convinced that R&D&I projects are key to position our partners and their technologies at the forefront of Europe and the world. To this end, we promote cooperation between all the agents in the solar energy value chain to generate new innovative products and services.
Each year, we accompany and assist our partners in securing partners and funding for their R&D project ideas. In fact, in 2023, we obtained 2 million euros in grant funding for the implementation of our collaborative R&D&I projects.
SOLARTYS members have access to the Secartys INNOVA collaborative platform that allows them to connect with other companies, professionals and entities of the Secartys ecosystem to provide solutions to projects, needs and challenges through ideas and technological solutions.
It is a space dedicated to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing through a wide range of resources and tools that allow you to stay updated on the latest technological trends, explore investment opportunities, discover innovative projects, offer technological solutions and establish valuable contacts.
Self-consumption and Energy Communities
From SOLARTYS, we promote the development of self-consumption and Energy Communities, collaborating with our partners and public entities through joint initiatives and collaborative projects that improve the solar energy sector.
Our Comunity
SOLARTYS is part of the Secartys ecosystem, a non-profit association with more than 55 years of history in supporting business competitiveness and internationalization of its 420 member entities and 4 clusters. Secartys has as its main focus sustainability digital transformation and new technologies – IoT, artificial intelligence or blockchain, among others – as tools for the development of its action plan, working for a more efficient and, above all, sustainable future.
In addition to SOLARTYS, solar energy cluster, the ecosystem is made up of: CICAT, lighting cluster, Smartech Cluster, cluster of smart technologies for cities, buildings and industry, and AEPIBAL, association of batteries and energy storage.
Thanks to this, we have its International department, to accompany our members in their internationalization. This allows our members to collaborate with complementary sectors and obtain a wider range of services and benefits.
