Biodiesel Polishing Systems to reduce Feedstock Free Fatty Acids
To reduce the free fatty acids(FFA's) in biodiesel feedstocks, we design and manufacture both 2 resin bed polishing systems as well as biodiesel polishing systems utilizing physical refining that we incorporate into new or existing biodiesel manufacturing facilities. Our 2 bed resin based biodiesel polishing systems facilitate the conversion of free fatty acids to biodiesel. In order to reduce alkoxide catalyst costs, our resin systems can be utilized to effectively eliminate free fatty acids from the triglyceride feedstocks. We esterify the free fatty acids. Prior to the esterification step, we provide a guard bed for removal of any potential amine and cationic catalyst poisons, including those from used oils from the food industry. Alternatively, we manufacture physical refining systems implementing molecular distillation technologies where FFA's(Free Fatty Acids) are separated and converted to a saleable product.
