Combined Cycle Power Plant - Energy
In 1984, a combined cycle power plant incorporating the latest turbine technology, supplied by Takasago Machinery Works to Tohoku Electric Power Co.'s Higashi Niigata Power Station, was first put into commercial operation. In terms of thermal efficiency, this accomplishment was epoch-making for the period. The plant saved far greater energy than possible with conventional steam power plants. In July, 1999, a new combined cycle power plant with over 50% thermal efficiency for Tohoku Electric Power Co.'s Higashi Niigata Power Station was completed and confirmed their satisfactory operations. We are proud of a number of accomplishments we have made as the only Japanese manufacturer that perform all the activities from engineering, civil work and construction to commissioning and after-sales servicing with the technologies developed by ourselves. More than 25 combined cycle power plants have also been supplied to over 20 countries in the world, including Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North and South America.
