What is rotary kiln?

The rotary cylinder that can process the raw materials in mechanical, physical or chemical ways can be called rotary kiln. It is also known as calcining kiln, belonging to the building material equipment.

Classification

FTM manufacturers cement rotary kiln, metallurgy chemical kiln, and lime rotary kiln according to different raw materials for customers.

The cement rotary kiln is mainly used to calcine cement clinker. There are two methods of calcining cement clinker, dry-type cement kiln, and wet-type cement kiln respectively

Metallurgical chemical kiln is mainly used for magnetization roasting of lean iron ore in the steel industry; oxidizing roasting of chromium and ilmenite; roasting of high-metallurgical mine in refractory plant and roasting clinker and aluminum hydroxide in the aluminum plant. Chemical plants roast minerals such as chrome ore and chrome ore.

Lime rotary kiln incinerator is mainly applied to roast active lime used in the steel and ferroalloy plant, and burn the white lime lightly.

3. In the chemical industry, using the rotary kiln to produce soda, calcined phosphate fertilizer, strontium sulfide, etc. In the 1960s, LapPle invented a new process for producing phosphoric acid from rotary kiln. This method has the advantages of low energy and power consumption.
4. The whole production of cement is summarized as “two mills and one burning”, of which “one burning” is the process of burning the raw material prepared by grinding into clinker under the high temperature of the rotary kiln. Thus, rotary kiln is regarded as the “heart” of cement production.
5. The developed countries have used the rotary kiln to burnt dangerous wastes for a long time. This not only reduces pollution, but recycle the waste as fuel.
