Product Details
The Ormat gas processing plant solution based on the ORMAT® ENERGY CONVERTER (OEC), a field-proven power generation unit, is designed to utilize gases from a variety of sources. In addition, the unit easily adapts to any environment and infrastructure without affecting overall plant operation.
The OEC follows the Organic Rankine Cycle and uses proprietary working fluids that efficiently convert a wide range of temperature heat sources. The working fluid is selected to optimize the power output given the heat, temperature and flow of the particular resource, and can adapt to changes in heat source conditions.
Featured Customer
Neptune Gas Plant, Louisiana, United States
At the Neptune gas processing plant in Louisiana, exhaust heat from gas turbines driving compressors is being harnessed to generate electricity. Since 2004, the 4.5 MW OEC created power to reduce dependence on the grid and serve as a backup during grid failures. Excess power is sold to generate supplemental revenue.
