IC Controls - Model 540 - 24 Volt DC Power Supply

Input power is field-selectable for 115/230 VAC. The supply AC is line noise and RFI suppressed, then fused at 0.125 A to protect the sensitive loop instruments from transient spikes interference or shorts. Cleaned line power is transformer reduced to the desired load voltage through an independent isolated secondary winding off the transformer. Reduced voltage circuitry is auto-reset short circuit protected. Rectification is obtained through the use of solid state rectifiers, a capacitor input filter and a bleed resister operating in conjunction with a negative feedback voltage regulation loop. The result is a constant output voltage with low ripple, regardless of varying line voltages.

Refinements include voltage output level adjustability up to 35 VDC, diode based DC surge protection, and anti-ripple filtration. Finally for redundant reliability add a second 540 in parallel powered from a separate phase.
