Biogas always contains hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Usually, it moves in the range of 1,000 to 6.000ppm, but it can also reach 2% by volume or more. Often this H2S must be removed from the gas, either because of environmental protection reasons or because corrosion danger. The EnvironTec's desulphurization process provides a cost- effective yet highly efficient solution for it. It is a biological process that requires no chemicals and little consumable materials. If a limited amount of air (about 10 -15% air) is added to the gas flow, certain inoculated bacteria (eg Thiobacillus) can break H2S down to elemental sulphur and sulphuric acid.

Oxygen is added in the form of compressed air. Automatic control regulates the amount of air depending on the needs, which correlates with the amount of gas. For nutrient and trace element supply of available in all countries of the world fertilizer used (NPK886). The design of the system corresponding to the VDI guideline 3478 and the currently valid ATEX regulations.
