SAFE - Model ST Series - Mechanical Compressors for CNG/RNG

The ST Series from Safe S.p.A. encompasses a range of mechanical compressors designed for effective management of compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) applications. Characterized by a radial arrangement of 3 to 5 cylinders, the series delivers a power absorption range between 22 to 110 kW and operates at speeds from 750 to 1,500 RPM. With an ability to handle suction pressures ranging from 8 to 220 barG and discharge pressures up to 310 barG, these compressors ensure efficient gas compression. They feature water-cooled and non-lubricated cylinders, supported by a crankcase forced lubrication system with minimal oil consumption at 2 litres per 100 hours of operation. Gas leakage is limited to 0.1% of the rated capacity, maintaining high efficiency and reliability. The maintenance intervals are optimally set at 4,000 hours for CNG and extended to 8,000 hours for biomethane use, underscoring the durability and low maintenance requirements of the series. Certified under EC, EAC, and US standards, these compressors stand out for their robust performance in demanding operational environments.
