CO2 Energy Analysis
This Excel DCV energy analysis program has been developed by AirTest Technologies to provide an estimate of possible energy savings that can result from a fresh air ventilation strategy that includes CO2 demand controlled ventilation and different fresh air economizer strategies. Please note that the results of this analysis are only as good and the assumptions you input into the program. Because of the high sensitivity of user inputs, AirTest assumes no responsibility for the results you generate. Please note that this program requires Microsoft Excel with Macros enabled in the security settings.

This program does not provide a complete energy analysis of a building but rather looks specifically at the cost to heat and cool outside air introduced to a building. The program uses hourly dew point and temperature data (TMY2) that is typically used for building energy analysis. The program looks at the cost and energy needed to ventilate building at a constant rate based on a design occupancy vs ventilating based on real time occupancy through the measurement of CO2. The program has been favorably evaluated by a number of third party energy simulation consultants and has been used by a number of utilities to determine the value of rebates they should offer for CO2 DCV installations.
