Energy Modeling Services
The energy team at Hanson can create computer-simulated energy models of your proposed or existing buildings. The models then can be used by the entire project team to improve the design or operation of the building by investigating the relationships between a building’s components and systems, and evaluating the cost-benefit of various building improvements. In addition to meeting the requirements for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for new construction and major renovations, energy modeling also is required for earning Energy Policy Act (EPAct) tax credits for HVAC and building envelope improvements. Hanson’s Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP)-certified staff has experience with multiple simulation programs including Carrier’s Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), Trane’s Trace 700 and DOE-2 eQuest. Hanson’s team can assist your organization with meeting these requirements.
