Operation and Service
Lambion Service supports the customer throughout the entire lifecycle of a biomass power plant. In this way we can ensure the operational dependability of your biomass combustion plant years after the original purchase. Our aim is to support safe and reliable energy supply on a long term basis. For this reason, our service personnel are already involved during the planning, production and assembly phases of each biomass power plant. This makes it possible to take an individualized, customer-specific approach to each facility and to ensure that each plant is maintenance and operator friendly in all its features.

We make sure our customers receive fully engaged and individual support by assigning a dedicated Service employee as the first contact person for all issues relating to the biomass plant. In addition, we guarantee 24/7 availability with individually agreed reaction times.
Our service offerings include:
- Preparation of an individual plant-specific service strategy for the customer
- Training, maintenance, consultation, repair and operational support
- Monitoring of regularly scheduled service activities and tests
- Procurement and installation of spare parts and replacement modules
- Reliable identification of all spare parts regardless of the age of the biomass power plant
Our service offerings are provided as required or as part of a general service agreement.
For plants with an output of 0.5 MW and up, it is typically necessary to build a separate boiler/machine house. The size of this structure depends on the dimensions of the boiler.
Biomass boilers are between 50 - 80 % larger than oil or gas boilers with the same output capacity. Together with the dust removal system, one must plan for space requirements twice the size of a comparable fossil fuel power plant.
In addition, the regular delivery of biomass fuel and removal of ash makes it necessary to have easy and convenient vehicular access to the plant.
Project Management and Training Worldwide
To ensure that all necessary work is performed on schedule and as planned, our project managers coordinate all aspects of personnel planning, project scheduling as well as plant construction and organization. Lambion construction managers and assemblers monitor and direct the building activities on site - from the assembly details to the training of the plant personnel to the test operation phase and finally to the final handover of the plant.
An important part of this process is the training of the plant operation staff. Already in the assembly phase, highly experienced Lambion specialists begin to explain the various plant functions to the future operational staff and to train them for the full range of operating conditions (start-up, shut-down, full capacity, partial capacity, etc). Staff also learn about possible breakdown causes and are trained how to handle malfunctions with a structured approach of error detection and correction.
Only when all processes - from fuel delivery to flue gas cleaning - are running according to plan and in accordance with specifications will the plant be handed over to the customer for regular operation.
