Patch Management of OT Services

One of the primary ways of beefing up security is keeping up with regular system upgrades. In a traditional IT environment, patches and upgrades can be reliably pushed out to users with no productivity impact. This same practice is unacceptable for ICS networks supporting critical processes. Patches and upgrades to network and server equipment and software must be coordinated with industrial hardware and software vendors to ensure compatibility. Implementation requires detailed planning and coordination to schedule downtime for installing, rebooting, and testing the system.
