Electricity Half Hourly
There are three ways in which to access your half hourly data:
- Firstly, you can request that the supplier sends the data to you. This is typically sent by email in a format that can be imported into eSight.
- The second way of gaining access to the data is to install a logger to monitor the pulsed output from the meter. Again, this data can be collected from the loggers and imported into eSight.
- The final way is to appoint you own Data Collector. Data is collected for both the supplier and your own use. Once data is made available to you, it can again be imported into eSight.
Electricity Non Half Hourly
Typically, the non half hourly market consists of manually read meters which are read monthly, quarterly or less often in many cases. There are a number of ways to access your non half hourly data.
- Firstly, you can have your meter replaced with an Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) product that sends meter readings directly to a Data Collector. The data will be made available to both your supplier for billing purposes and again to you for import into eSight. eSight Energy can arrange for your existing meter to be replaced with a smart meter if required.
- Secondly, you could read your meter manually and enter the meter reading into eSight. It is also possible to export this data in a format that your supplier may be able to invoice you against.
- The meter readings could be taken by our eRemote product and uploaded to eSight.
- Finally, you could install a secondary meter and logging device to feed the data into eSight. This will also provide you with half hourly metering data.
Gas
Most metering within the gas market is owned by National Grid. Larger supplies have logging devices installed and are read daily. Others are typically read monthly. There are a number of ways to access the data.
- There are a number of suppliers now fitting AMR meters. You may be able to request that your meter is replaced with an AMR product and have the data forwarded to you by the supplier.
- If the meter has a pulsed output, eSight Energy can assist you in sourcing a smart logger which can log the pulsed output and transfer this information into eSight.
- If the meter has no pulsed output, the meter will need to be replaced.
- Where the meter has data collected by the supplier daily, it may be possible to obtain the readings from the supplier.
Water
If the meter has a pulsed output, eSight Energy can assist you in sourcing a smart logger which can log the pulsed output and transfer this information into eSight.
